A building corner in Spain inspired this piece. I was drawn to the way it caught uneven light, which brought out the different colours in the facade. One side holds bright, sandy tones, while the other falls into deep shadow, showing a dusty plum, aubergine, dried fig, and soft mauve.
This piece is made from reclaimed paint swatches, which I cut and fold by hand. The angles of the hundreds of small, triangular elements catch the light differently, so the surface shifts subtly throughout the day.
Materials: Reclaimed paper-based paint swatches and color fan decks on a cardboard substrate
Dimensions including frame: 15” × 12” × 1 1/2" (380mm × 305mm × 39mm)
Each artwork includes a complimentary frame for protection during shipping and arrives ready to hang in either portrait or landscape orientation. The artwork can be easily removed and custom framed if desired.
